Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X4601 Hsl/LG10.10.23. Test of 'R' Series Chassis. With reference to BJ5/H8.10.23 attached. The Sales Dept. allotted the chassis for the production 10,000 miles test. The chassis they allotted for the 40/50 test was 36-HG which was an old type chassis. We protested that it was no use starting a test with an old type chassis and it was agreed that we should add all the new parts to 36-HG in order to make it into an 'R' Series chassis. We received the chassis 3 weeks ago - since then it has had to be fitted with a body and accessories. We were ready to start the test a week ago when the chassis was handed over to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} [Faint stamp: HYDE WICHESTER] | ||
