Referring to the duplex press button starter switch we are designing for this, we send you herewith a coloured technical wiring diagram of the starting system which coincides as regards colours to the practical wiring diagram on our drawing Lec. 2195. This diagram is of a size suitable for a folded leaf in the instruction book, but we consider that it would look neater if reduced to say four fifths of the size we have made it.

Referring to this diagram the duplex starter press button switch definitely breaks the yellow from the green circuit (which was previously connected) and so stops the reverse flow of current through the teazer winding from returning to earth via the main switch energising coil, and so holding this in contact after the press button had been released.

While we are completing the designs of the duplex press button switch we think EFC. should be able to rig up a double switch from say two units of the existing press button switch, if he considers it desirable to test the other units and alterations we have sent for the sequence starter system, exactly on the principles it will operate under finally. We suggest this because we believe that Derby will have completed the other units and alterations on this job some little time before the press button switch, and it is extremely desirable to get the scheme tested without further delay.
