In reference to your enquiry as to the incorpora-tion of improvements in LeC. 2190. effected on solenoid unit subsequent to LeC. 1845., would you kindly embody these as follow:-

(1) BOBBIN.
This to be made with the reduced guiding portion as indicated on LeC. 1858. The tabs on rear flange for securing bobbin in position to be thus -

These tabs take the place of securing plates and thus shorten the whole unit by their thickness.

(2) CASING.
It should be noted that stud and other bosses are all moved forward the amount of this thickness.

(3) MAGNET.
This to be secured in casing as indicated on LeC. 1852., and will carry slots - 2 for tabs, 1 for conductor, and a fourth to be made only if required for convenience of machining.
