ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. To Order No. Customer's No. Re have 'life' size gears ~~from small size~~ made to experiment with, but to turn two worms of quite small size would be comparatively easy. By setting these to run with suitable bronze spur gears we should obtain comparative results; and if as shown by temperature rise the buttress thread had some advantage in both directions* we should be fairly safe in assuming that it would retain the advantage if running with a worm wheel.
