Issues with obtaining satisfactory Bleriot Phi cutouts and problems with their assembly.

We have not been successful in obtaining satisfactory Bleriot Phi cutouts as decided at the Works Committee Conference held on 23.12.20, but so far have only obtained two from the makers which were satisfactory on the bench, one of which is with you on your lighting plant and the other of which is with you on chassis 6 EX. Of others received we have rectified two in our Expl. Shop and one of these has been placed on 2 EX and the other given over to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} for one of his test cars. So far as we know, these are all working satisfactorily at present, the only objection being the noise of operation. As received from Messrs. Bleriot, the cutouts, except the first two, were improperly assembled and not a good job, and since that time we have been in correspondence with them in order to secure a more consistent result. It appears that the original two cutouts were made and assembled in France, whereas the later ones have been assembled at their Works at Walworth. Four cutouts which we returned to Walworth were returned to us, but in a worse condition than previously. These had to be again returned.
