Dear Wilks, With regard to our telephone conversation about body weights, could you let us know (1) The weight of the Vauxhall body and integral frame including and excluding all 4 wings. (2) The weight of the 1939 Rover 12 complete sports body including and excluding wings. Are the dash and running boards part of this weight? Does it include the body mountings ? Are the wings alum or steel ? (3) Does the Vauxhall Starter really weigh 300 lbs. or the gearbox 287 ? (See your letter of Nov. 1st.) With regard to the piston torque on a two-cylinder 90° V engine, this can be got from the attached blue print by adding to the graph for one cylinder another at 90°. This gives a shape of roughly [Hand-drawn sine wave diagram with 0 and 360 marked at the start and end of the x-axis] i.e. a two per rev almost sine wave torque | ||
