nothing out of them. Obviously it would be presumption to say that this is true in every case, because Buicks are far too hard boiled to put bumps on their piston if they do not get anything out of it.

Some of the other results we are getting, working to our own theories, are extremely interesting, but every day we are realising how little we know about combustion. When I have ironed out some of the kinks in the results I expect you will be interested to talk them over.

The new Lincoln Zephyr front vogue at the Motor Show struck me as being rather less repugnant than the majority of activities in this direction in the past.

We continue to learn a lot about the wind resistance of motor-cars and the power absorption of tyres. Both these must have a fundamental influence on transportation because they absorb energy, and energy means fuel, which is, ultimately, running cost to the consumer.

Are you getting your crankshaft forgings at a reasonable price yet ?
