Rolls-Royce, Ltd., DERBY. Dear Mr. Robotham, You may be interested to know that after tests covering several weeks the Dutch Royal Family, on a fleet of 12 cars, have standardized on the GENERAL Dual-10. The test covered silence, the throwing of stones on the underside of the wings, and skidding. Practically every well-known make of tyre was tested out, and we feel very proud that the GENERAL Dual-10 was selected. We hope to have your tyres within the next few days, and we should be glad if you would make a test of the stopping distance, say at 60 m.p.h. with your present tyres, when the distance can be checked after fitting the GENERAL Dual-10. The Writer will be very pleased to come along to the factory after the tyres are fitted, and perhaps you will allow him to go out on the road with your test car. Yours faithfully, p.p. R.M.
