1339 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}9/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 2nd July, 1937. R.M. Papelian, Esq., Edgware Road, Cricklewood, N.W.2. Dear Mr. Papelian, Thanks for your letter of June 30th. Will let you know our opinion of the tyres when we have tried them. I went to America at the beginning of this year, and we are familiar with their general practice. We have tried out a lot of their recommendations with varying success. We have not managed to match them up on rings of relatively great radial depth, as we find that the rate of cylinder wear goes up too much, however, we are continuing our experiments. Yours sincerely, | ||
