-2- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Ed.{J. L. Edwards}24/KW.5.10.36. II. Oiling System. (a) 1 Cooling Coil in tank, the oil passing through the coil which is immersed in water. A short circuiting valve to be fitted. (b) Two pressure gauges 0 - 80 lbs/in.² 0 -120 lbs/in.² (c) Two N. & Z. thermometers 40 - 160°C. A spare 0 - 120 lbs/in.² pressure gauge and one N. & Z. 40 - 160°C. thermometer will also be required. III. Instrument Boards. The existing board can be made to do for the pressure gauges, etc., but a new thermometer board will be necessary. IV. Brake &c. The existing DP x 4 water brake is to be used, and a tachometer drive has been ordered from Messrs. Heenan and Froude. Apart from water pipes, therefore, the dynamometer assembly is complete. V.{VIENNA} Petrol System. This is almost complete, but a new two-way valve for the fuel tanks and a petrol filter will be required. We should be glad therefore if you would order the above tackle. There is nothing to stop the millwrights proceeding full speed with this job, as all the tackle to complete it is either existing or may be borrowed temporarily. We should be obliged therefore if you would urge the job forward with the millwrights department, as it has now been standing for almost a month and very little indeed has been done on it.
