Instructions for the removal and replacement of equipment on test bed No. 2c.

To EJJ/JV. X1209 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Ed.{J. L. Edwards}24/KW.5.10.36. No. 2c Bed. It has been arranged that the above bed is to be taken over from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} by Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} after any tackle required by him has been removed, and it is suggested that this be taken away first and stored wherever they require it. A list of the stuff is as under :- (1) Oil cooler complete. (2) Cooling stand complete. (3) Air flow rig complete. (4) All superfluous pipes, etc. (5) Thermometers and gauges. (6) Petrol filter and 2-way cock. (7) Blower, oil pump etc. Items (5) & (6) are to be left in place until replacements are obtained. The removal of the above tackle necessitates the following replacements. I. Cooling System. (a) A tank placed in the roof spilling into the funnel return to the plant, with steam and water connections as shown in the sketch. (b) 1 pressure gauge 0 - 40 lbs/in.2. (c) Two N. & Z. thermometers 40 - 160 °C. | ||
