Further to memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/R.4.12.36., in which we state we are supplying special big end bearings and shims in RR.56, together with a rear main bearing and shims in RR.56 for the above car, will you please work to the following:-

(1) We are supplying to you to-day the RR.56 rear main bearing and shims.

The diametrical clearance in this bearing should be .003 - .00325, the crank end float to be .0035 - .004.

(2) The remaining standard main bearings which are already in the unit to have the intermediate mains grooved to the attached drawing Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}244.

(3) The RR.56 big end bearings which we can supply on Thursday (10/12/36) should be fitted to have diametrical clearance on the crankpin of .002 - .00225. Check shims for correct sectional thickness.

(4) A large capacity oil pump will be supplied in conjunction with the above job.
