Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} By Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Sft{Mr Swift} RECEIVED X8430 Mxl1/T17.10.27 re Steering Worms Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/1G13.8.27. By1/H15.8.27. The Steerings fitted with worms without oil holes or grooves have been quite satisfactory on test. I have personally tried the majority of the chassis to which these have been fitted. Three of the chassis have run between 400 and 500 miles. One of the chassis has also been tried by the Experimental Dept. and the steering reported exceptionally good. I am in accordance with the recommendations that the modification should be standardized. Wrth Wrth | ||
