As the result of a dozen worms we put in hand without oil grooves or oil holes on the worm, and in the nut respectively, Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} has reported that such worms are a improvement on our present standard worms and nuts, which of course have oil holes and grooves. This being the case we are satisfied that the method of manufacture has improved to such an extent that it will justify us removing the oil holes and grooves from the nut and the worm for both type steerings. Will you kindly send through an alteration covering the above, referring to this note as your authority. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
