TRAFFORD PARK. WORCESTER. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. Dear Sirs, Thank you for your letter of the 31st May. In case our previous letter was not entirely understood, may we add the following explanation of it? Since we commenced marketing our new British Alcohol Blend - Cleveland Discol - just over two months ago, we have had a great many enquiries addressed to us from owners of all makes of cars enquiring as to its performance under various conditions, and for advice on carburettor adjustments in all makes of cars. It would indeed be helpful if we could tell those owners of Rolls-Royce cars who enquire, that you yourselves have made tests on the fuel, and in some of the more important cases, possibly refer the owners to your goodselves. We should not think of using any reports on tests you cared to send us, but would like to know that tests made there have proved in every way satisfactory. We are not suggesting that Cleveland Discol will noticeably add to the performance of your own car engines, as mentioned in your letter, but it is a fact that this grade possesses qualities and advantages not found in other fuels distributed in this country, and there are, undoubtedly, a large number of owners of your cars using it exclusively. We should, therefore, very much appreciate your co-operation, and should like to send you a few gallons of Cleveland Discol for you to test at your convenience. We should be much obliged if you would assist to this extent. Yours faithfully, CLEVELAND PETROLEUM PRODUCTS CO. General Sales Manager. | ||
