Y832. To Da. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} From Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rn. {Mr Robinson} Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rn. {Mr Robinson} 3/MJ.2.6.32. SHOCK DAMPER TO N.SCH.3405. With reference to Da. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} 5/M13.1.32. We brought back some samples of the gland material used in the Delco shock absorber, which we send you herewith. Since returning we have been trying to obtain the same material in England and enclosed the best we have been able to do. The fitting of this gland appears to be exceedingly simple as a pressed steel cap is merely pressed over them and into the case, being retained in position by the tightness of its circumferential fit. We propose to make some tests with this type of gland on the J.III damper. Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rn. {Mr Robinson} | ||
