CODE: A.B.C. 5TH. 4, NEW BURLINGTON STREET, GHP/CS LONDON, W.1. 26th January 1926 Messrs Rolls Royce Ltd Derby. Dear Sirs, In reference to your letter ref WOR{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}/EWTA/M7/1/26 addressed to Mr Northy at your London Showrooms, we are forwarding you today 2 Models of our Bavox Pumps for testing purposes. A few years ago, we supplied you with 2 pumps for driving by friction against the Fly-Wheel but we have now completely altered our pumps, and nearly all our Garage Models are Pulley driven, or else connected to an Electric Motor on a Trolley, which is far more satisfactory. We are sending you one model which can inflate up to 90 lbs per sq inc, and another larger one which can inflate up to 140 lbs per sq inch. This latter model is naturally much too big for the work you require, but we thought it might interest you for testing also. We are also sending you a Section of our Pump so that you can examine the very simple mechanism of same. We enclose Catalogue and references of our Pump and you will see that we have supplied over 1825 to the French DUNLOP CO, and we might add that we have been supplying these, for quite a long time to the London General Omnibus Co, Associated Equipment Co, Leyland, Commer Cars, and Karrier Motors. When your Mr Chandler visited our Stand at the Show, he simply inspected our BV1-12 volt Model which would naturally be quite useless in a Garage. This Model is simply for Motorists who want a pump on their Footboard. The Model which we have experimented with and with which we have inflated tyres at your London Garage, is the BV1 Hand Port | ||
