We send herewith a memo we have had from Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} on the fitting of snow chains. We have now in the Expt. Dept. chains of the special new Rolls-Royce type for P.III, Bentley and 25/30.

On P.III, it is essential to have the new chains on the front wheels, because of the position of the side steering tube ball joints.

On the latest 4 1/4-litre Bentley, which has the jack pad beside the spring, it is necessary to have the new type of chain so as to hit the jack pads.

On the 25/30, although the usual Parsons' chains will fit, the new type is an improvement in that it eliminates rattles.

We believe that at present there is no mention in the P.III Instruction Book of chains at all, but in the other books people are advised not to run without front chains.

We have now catered for the customer who wishes to fit chains on any wheel of any of our cars.
