Send copy of this to LP{Mr Lappin} Sent 31/3/39 GH. BENTLEY - RE: CAPT. STANILANDS. We have not been able to get Capt. Staniland's car in to the Depot. There has been some trouble over payments between the Administration and Capt. Staniland. The result I am not aware of, but Capt. Staniland would not send his car in, and has had the job done at his Head Quarters. K, supplied a standard head complete, and have got the high compression head back. This is to be returned to you. No.2 and 3 exhaust valves are cracked, the remainder look to be burnt. I should say he has been running with too small a valve clearance. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W.
