CHASSIS.

SPECTRECodename for Phantom III.
One of the chief difficulties at the present time is the question of the springing when going over hump-backed bridges.

This appears to be a difficulty with all independ-ently front sprung cars and every effort is being made to deal with it but we shall probably have to arrive at a compromise.

The first car is waiting to have the unit changed.

The second chassis, it is hoped, will be ready by about the end of January. The body is at Derby and it is hoped to be able to get the car to France during the latter part of February.

It is hoped that the third chassis will be ready about the end of February, the body for which is on order.

The garage at Shardlow is all ready for occupation but is not yet in use but will be as soon as it can be made good use of, i.e. the unit etc. in the first car cannot very well be changed there.
