WRAITH III NO.2 UNIT.

This unit is being assembled for valve gear endurance, the valves, cylinder head, camshaft, reduced rocker ratio etc. are standard.

Condition of endurance as previously run with the obsolete valve gear and in accordance with our memo, Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}4/MH{M. Huckerby} 8.10.37.

PH.III NO.3.

Try to get Summers indicator working properly, experiment by marking the fixed and the free wheels and note relative movement by rotorscrope.

PH.III. NO.6.

Unit being assembled for endurance.
(1) Special rectangular section tappets.
(2) Newly standardised 4 port heads.
(3) Main bearings, front centre and rear W/H, inters. A.C.6.
(4) Big ends with A.C.6 forked rod bushes.

B.4 UNIT.

(1) Test and report comparison of Discol with Ethyl for -
(a) Consumption at weakest maintained.
(b) Power.
(c) Detonation and spark advance characteristics.
(d) Level and necessary needle alterations.
(e) Preignition and valve temperature (one or two figures only).
