X4516 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}14/KW. 4th June, 1934. L.P. Saunders, Esq., The Harrison Radiator Corporation, Lockport, New York, U.S.A. Dear Mr. Saunders, I wonder whether you can give me a little advice on a radiator. The dimensions available for this radiator are as shown on the attached sketch. The depth of the radiator can be anything up to 84 mm. The engine is a 12-cylinder, 7½ litres, overhead valve, about 6 : 1 compression ratio. As you know, the only matrix we can get over here is one you were using two years ago. It has the louvres in the indirect strip but not the wide water-ways and decreased pitch indirect strip. Will you please quote us for supplying one of these matrices ? We know that you object to making the taper corners, but perhaps you would make this one like this for us. Marstons in England are used to this work and have no objection to butting corners off. Yours sincerely, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
