-6- How is brake effort distributed between front and rear axles? 40% to Front 60% to Rear No radial holes are provided in the flywheel as in the 20 h.p. and 'Phantom' for injecting paraffin-and oil mixture. Is any such dressing necessary for 'SS{S. Smith}' clutch? Same as Phantom but discretion should be used as S.S. Clutch is more liable to slip than Phantom. Clutch brake adjustment appears very inaccessible. Will not oil have a deleterious effect? What instructions are we to give in connection with this? Oil will not affect this. Should not require attention. Are there any special instructions in connection with the front hydraulic dampers? For present types we instruct inspection of oil level every 10,000 miles and the use of Wakefield's Castrol 'F' only. We also instruct inspection of the ball controlled air leak if the effectiveness of the dampers seems to be at fault. We are circulating full information to Depots about the damper adjustment. Instruction book data should be as previously. | ||
