Chromium Plating Cylinder Blocks.

When I was at Rovers last week they showed me a chromium plated cylinder block. They have been doing a good deal of research on this job and have now got a finish with which they are satisfied. They said that wear and corrosion are reduced to an absolute minimum.

I want to try and get a large bore cylinder block chromium plated on B-6 before it goes to France. I do not know whether you have a large bore spread centres latest type valve gear block available, as instructed for B-19. We did instruct a set to follow B-18 out, but I do not think they have ever been sent. If a block is available we should like to send it over to the Rover Co. and have it chromium plated. It should be marked for the attention of Captain Wilks.
