EXHAUST SYSTEM - TROUBLES IN FRANCE.
We have asked for the following parts which will be sent by Pattinson when he crosses over to France in the middle of the week.
(1) Standard type of front expansion box with a stiffened end where the intermediate pipe is attached. This we believe is already completed.
(2) Downtake and expansion box in .160" gauge. Intermediate pipe in .104" gauge material.
(3) Link suspension to prove whether it is lack of flexibility in the rubber mounting which is the cause of the trouble.
If there is any difficulty in obtaining the material of the correct gauge will you please use the nearest size available, as it is of the utmost importance that some of the parts should be sent out to GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} as soon as possible in order to get a line on what will ultimately be required for production.
