Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd. Date 14/8/28. Page 2. which is larger in diameter than the top plate fitted to the standard tank unit; consequently the holes are drilled on a different pitch circle. In view of this, before proceeding with these two gauges we await to hear whether you will be able to carry out the necessary tank alterations, and if so would you please send us a sketch of these alterations so as to make sure that our tank unit will register. To assist you we herewith enclose a print of the special cast top plate referred to. We regret that it is impossible to modify the standard type of telegage to incorporate the pressure balance. We are very pleased to hear that the gauge fitted to Mr. Royce's car is working satisfactorily. Awaiting the favour of your reply, Yours faithfully, H.{Arthur M.
