CONDUCTORS.

We are advised by the Cable Makers Association that as a result of their continuous research, they have now decided to no longer manufacture conductors containing one layer of pure rubber adjacent to the tinned conductor and two layers of vulcanised rubber superimposed thereon.

The new standard which has commenced for 1937 has three layers of vulcanised rubber compound applied to the tinned copper conductor.

This statement not only applies to the cables such as we use but to other conductors for normal domestic voltages and even higher voltages on distribution lines, and we are requested to alter our cable specification accordingly.

We think we should agree to this as we do not wish to purchase specially made conductors for our chassis wiring, but we should like to know whether you would like to have samples for test.

We attach herewith a sample submitted, although it is not a size we use, 70/36's.
