x4522 Hardy To EY. from Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} C.E. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/HP.4.12.34. Bentley - Stabiliser Bumper, etc. When the stabiliser bumper is fitted, it is necessary to modify the starting handle, by shortening the shaft, as shown on N. Sch.4284, herewith. This drawing also shows the handle set back by a small amount. This will be an advantage on cars such as Mr Fairey's, with undropped front cross members. But with the dropped front cross member, the set cannot be utilised, owing to the increased length of the front apron. N. Sch.4288 also attached, shows the modification to the bumper fixings required to carry the bumper further out. This is desirable in both cases but applies especially to the case of the dropped front cross member. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} ATT: N.Sch.4284. No.Sch.4288. | ||
