To CWB. } To FN. } From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X8950 X235 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rml/LG27.7.28. Herewith springs to increase the high pressure loading on the dampers and make it double that of the low pressure loading. Those for the front should have a length of 1.020" with the valve closed or approx. an .045 washer under the valve cap. Those for the rear should have a length of 1.010" when the valve is on its seat or a .035 washer under the valve cap. As the springs have a high rating .010 variation in the working length makes a big difference to the load, therefore the lengths given should be closely adhered to.
