X5370. I have just paid a visit to Cricklewood to investigate the above trouble. It was not possible to trace any definite reason for the failures with respect to the way Crickle-wood fitted the cotton duck fabrics. The only faults I could locate were firstly, the indents in the fabrics supplied to the Depot are faulty, i.e. the depth of the indents not being consistent, sample herewith brought back for your inspection. (This requires replacing). Secondly, the tool they were using to hammer the staples in was too broad, which would have a tendency to burst the fabric. There was recently a complaint from them to you of the inner diameter of the fabric being too small. This I understood you had dealt with. I could not obtain any further evidence which would cause the failures. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/G.W.H. | ||
