The Associated Equipment Co.Ltd.,
Southall,
MIDDLESEX.

For the attention of G.J. Rackham.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 15th inst. and apologise for not having answered earlier, but the writer wished to consult Mr. Robotham before writing.

The position at the moment is that we have been making tests recently on an improved alloy which from preliminary tests, appears to be very good for main bearings, and since you require main bearings we should like you to have the best material we have for the job. We have therefore held up the production of the AC./ alloy pending the results of the tests on the new alloy. We trust this will not inconvenience you to any great extent for we think the later alloy will suit your requirements better than AC.7.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
