advisable to work on the worm while soft to obtain a better bedding, but the Committee thought that at least one set should be tried exactly as delivered.

105th Meeting Re Worm Gears.
Dec. 28. 11.

Mr. Wormald informed the Committee that the worm gear supplied by the Albro Clem Co. was being made ready for fitting to the worm axle when required.

Worm Drives. (Mr. Bailey's Olympia Report)

The Committee note the various remarks concerning worm drives and are agreed that weshould not yet abandon our tests in this direction. They will carefully inspect the Lanchester type of worm fitted to the Daimler which we shall shortly have at the works.

107th Meeting Daimler Worm Axle.

Mr. Hadin submitted that the Daimler axle should be dismantled, and that Mr. Bailey should take full particulars of the gearing.

The Committee agreed however, that it was advisable to complete our tests on the dynamometer etc before dismantling the car.
