Rustless Chassis Springs.

A firm with whom Jonas Woodhead & Sons Ltd. have business relations have introduced a process for rendering steel rustless. They have treated a number of springs for Woodheads and the prospect is sufficiently encouraging to prompt Woodheads to carry out experiments.

They (Woodheads) have decided to have two pairs of our chassis front springs, one pair 1100 lbs and one pair 1150 lbs, treated by this process and they will send them to us for testing out on our bumping rig and also, if possible, on a test car.

When the springs are sent to us, Woodheads will indicate precisely what tests they think the springs should be subjected to. This would include a test to ascertain whether coach paint adheres as well to the surface of these treated springs as to the untreated surface, or whether in actual use the paint would shell off.

No charge will be made for the springs, but Woodheads expect that we will defray the cost of testing.

Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}
