YOUR REF Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}18/KW. 1st September, 1936. W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham Esq., Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Derby. Dear Mr. Robotham, Thanks for yours of the 21st August. I quite appreciate your point, and while I should have liked to have had my Pistons fitted to the 4 1/4" Bentley, I appreciate that as it is a job which you have got to guarantee, and while I may have confidence in my Pistons it is an entirely different proposition for you to consider putting it in, I think we shall have to look at it this way: When we have had the Bentley for some time, we may then have the opportunity of changing the Pistons at our own responsibility. Yours sincerely, J.W. Howlett | ||
