File Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd., D E R B Y. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. Martindale. We thank you for yours of the 6th inst., re GIRLING BRAKES on a 4 1/4 Litre Bentley, and we note you have had to reline the rear brakes of this car after 9,000 miles. We also note the brakes have developed an occasional bad thump and your suggestion that this might be a worn wedge, and as you state that this occurs when using either foot or hand brake we take it that it must be one of the wedges or cones on the rear brakes. We wondered if you could get the car in and have wheels and drums off and we would come over at any time to suit yourselves and examine same. It would only take us a few minutes to look at the wedge or cone and see if this is the case. Quite frankly, we can hardly think that it is this as we have not had a single wedge replacement part since we commenced making brakes. We sincerely trust you will give us this opportunity as, in any case, we would very much like to come over and discuss the whole job with you. Sincerely trusting you will grant us this. With many thanks. Yours faithfully, for NEW HUDSON LTD. [Signature] MANAGER P.T.O. | ||
