We thank you for your two letters of the 26th and 27th instant. Mr. Hayes is at the moment abroad and will take up the matter of the Rights under this Patent with you on his return. As regards the question of servo-braking in reverse, we believe that the specification as at present drafted describes an arrangement which gives this, except in so far as it refers to Patent No. 222,162, which does not include this arrangement. We believe your objection would be cleared by referring to No. 235,387 which we had, in fact, considered as an alternative, and shall be glad to know if you agree to this. Will you please be good enough to return the draft Complete Specification to us as we have no other copy. As we presume that the same error was also made in the American Specification you will perhaps return that to us before signing so that we may have the necessary correction made.
