Cox - Advertising Manager} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} "STOP LAMP BRACKETS". X.7800. X.5800. A few days ago we sent to you N.Sch. 3095. shewing a design for a bracket for a Butler Stop Lamp for use on all P2. cars except those with a spare wheel behind the rear cross-member. These latter cars do not constitute 10% of our output, and of all these cars possibly only half will have the lamp. Added to this is the fact that when quarter fenders are fitted to such cars our bracket would not be suitable. We have therefore come to the conclusion that the bracket for such cars had better be fitted up to suit each particular case by the coachbuilder. The quantities would be too small to make it possible for our price to be reasonably low enough. With respect to the 20/25 HP. cars we would be glad if Derby would set out a bracket exactly on the lines of that which we have sent to you for P.2. This bracket will be appli-cable to nearly all cars. We believe that this now clears up the whole question of carrying the Butler Spot Lamp on our cars. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
