HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/RH.{R. Hollingworth} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}1/ML.16.3.40. W.111 No: 4. UNIT. PISTON RING TESTS. In conjunction with the tests which are being carried out on No: 30 Test House, we wish to make a direct comparison between pinned and no pinned rings. The most desirable way of doing this is to pin the existing pistons. We realise that the pistons are not designed to take the taper pin, but we hope you will be able to fit a set in order to carry out the test, and a complete new set of rings at the same time. These will have to be specially gapped to suit. F.J.Hallam will supply the rings. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} | ||
