1370. DUNLOP RUBBER CO.,LTD. TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESS: "DUNLOPS, PHONE, BIRMINGHAM" TELEPHONE: ERDINGTON 2121 (P.B.X) EXTENSION No. 395. YOUR REF: OUR REF: HEP/HM.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}1047. FORT DUNLOP ERDINGTON BIRMINGHAM Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Limited, DERBY. For the attention of S.H.Grylls, Esq. 21st April, 1939. Dear Sirs, Referring to our discussion at your Works on the 14th, wherein it was agreed to put forward certain wheels embodying 6.00x16 rims, as explained, we are not in an immediate position to give delivery of this section of rim which is not included in our normal range, but tools are in hand and we hope to have first samples available in approximately six weeks. If, therefore, you would be good enough to send us the sample wheels on which you wish these rims to be fitted in approximately a month, this would give us sufficient time to prepare these centres for the fitment of the replacement rims. I would confirm that the special sets of tyres are now covered by your Order No. 90683 and that we do not anticipate any difficulty at all in having the tyres which would be required for fitment available with the rims, and the 7.00-16 and 6.50-16 4-ply in approximately a month's time. Yours faithfully, For DUNLOP RUBBER CO., LTD. H.G. Price Manager - Car Manfrs: Division. | ||
