Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd.,
DERBY.

For the attention of S.H.Grylls, Esq.,

21st April, 1939.

Dear Sirs,

Referring to our conversation at Derby on the 14th, when the question of lightening our present 4.50x16 rim was raised, this matter has received the attention of our Works, and they feel it inadvisable to offer a lighter gauge than 10-g.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} in which the rim is at present manufactured, in view of the capacity of the tyres normally fitted to this rim, and which are under consideration by you.

This confirms our telephone conversation on the 20th, and we understand that you do not, at this juncture, wish us to take any further action.

Yours faithfully,
For DUNLOP RUBBER CO., LTD.
