The Weston Electrical Instrument Co., Audrey House, Ely Place, Holborn, London, E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} C. Dear Sirs, You promised a long time ago you were sending us a double dial Weston Voltmeter, specially arranged to work in conjunction with a small continuous current magneto, to form a revolution indicator for our engines, in accordance with the wishes of the Admiralty. Some of these magnetos are in regular use with your instruments, at our Works, giving quite good results but your smallest instrument has not a bold enough scale the second size is much better. We have written you once on this subject but have not yet received either the instrument or any reply stating where the matter is delayed. We suggest it has been overlooked in your Workshops owing to pressure of work. In my last letter I explained that this matter was not of great importance at the moment as the Admiralty were favouring a vibrator type of indicator, operated by an alternating current from a small magneto. Yours faithfully. | ||
