Referring to the fact that in the case of the Friction Anchored Sun Wheel, the Ferodo used was not satisfactory, I am obtaining some rings of material in Messrs. Herbert Frood's number 9C type, which is not woven, but merely made up from pressed asbestos.

I attach a copy of their letter, from which you will see that the material has satisfactorily withstood high pressure and also boiling oil. The samples referred to are in my office.

Two samples are enclosed with Mr Royce's letter.
