Dear Mr Robotham,

I understand that you are sailing for America on January 20th and wish to look over our Detroit plant while there.

It is quite within the realms of possibility that you and I will travel together on the same boat as I am leaving for America either at the end of January or early in February.

In any case, however, I shall be delighted to give you a letter of introduction to our friends in Detroit which will assure you of a good reception.

Yours sincerely
