ORIGINAL TO BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c.c. to GE. c. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M24.5.23. X2628 We send herewith N. scheme 1418., shewing the suggestion we make for fixing the lubricator for the rear spring roller, so that it shall not foul the bodywork. The little elbow piece must be put on before the roller bracket is mounted on the axle, or at any rate before the brake cover is put on, and therefore it is not intended to be used for adapting existing cars. We suggest that it might be turned from bar and bent if desired, or if this operation is too elaborate you may prefer a drop forging and drilling, in which case the elbow requires slightly modifying as shewn.
