We send herewith N. scheme 3162. shewing a re-arrangement of the cross members and brake gear etc to reduce or avoid, the pots in the frame that have been complained of on 18-G-IV. It will be noticed that there are few new parts, this proposal being to take the existing parts and re-arrange them in somewhat better positions so that the propellor shaft may not push the cross members so far into the body. We shew the 2.5" dia. propellor shaft. It is desired that this should be fitted to 18-G-IV. and the resulting modifications made to the body to remove the pots before this car is shewn to SG.{Arthur F.
