re. Chassis 44-G-7.

We send you herewith an ignition coil No.3414 which has been returned to us by 'N' Dept. in accordance with G.R. 264030.

'N' Dept. state that this coil was forwarded to them by Messrs. Rootes Ltd. and they point out that this is the second coil they have supplied to them.

Whatever the trouble was which they experienced was immediately overcome by fitting a new coil.

However, in view of the fact that 'N'. Dept can find nothing wrong with this coil No. 3414, they are arranging with Messrs. Rootes to send the car in to 'N' to examine the installation. We have tested this coil ourselves and fail to find anything wrong with same electrically. It functions very well indeed on an 8.5m/m gap.

We shall be glad if you will have this coil tested and ascertain that it is correct.
