C. Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} C. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 1380 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}10/G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 1st. November 1937. Messrs. Vickers (Aviation) Ltd., Weybridge, Surrey. For the attention of Mr. Pierson. Dear Sirs, In accordance with your suggestion by telephone last week, we have fixed, provisionally, Thursday next, November 4th 1937, to use the Wind Tunnel for tests on model cars, if this date is convenient to yourselves. We wish to test only two models to measure the drag, and a day should be more than sufficient. In order that we may be sure of being ready for Thursday morning we propose to call on you with the models on Wednesday, Novr. 3rd 1937 after lunch, so that any work on them, such as the provision of hanging fixtures and weights may be added. If convenient to yourselves we would like to use the tunnel which we used for our previous tests, so as to obtain comparable results. If these dates are convenient, would you kindly send us a confirmation by telegram to "Evernden, Roycar, Derby." We would like to take this opportunity of thanking you for accommodating us in the matter of these wind tunnel tests. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. Car Project Office. | ||
