Mr. Lidsey from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 42480 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/LG16.1.25. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} A.{Mr Adams} C. We should like further particulars as regards the EAC. Clutch. (1) What is the correct position for the clutch pedal? (2) Does it have to be set lower than the brake pedal as on the 40/50? These figures should be taken with the increased leverage on the clutch. (3) With the full stroke of the clutch pedal, what is the movement on the clutch? This should be actually measured - not calculated - because there may be deflection in parts. (4) How much oil should be given to the universal joint inside the clutch, and how often should it be done? (5) How much wear cane take place on the clutch fabric before all the adjustment is taken up? (6) How much free movement should there be between the levers and the clutch trunnion?
