To Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to CJ. c. to Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to EFC. X4054 RE FLEXIBLE CONNECTION FROM CONDENSER HOUSING TO FRAME - N. SCHEME 555. X.4054. With reference to N. scheme 555, I quite approve of this except that I think the wire should go to the supporting foot instead of requiring a special bolt through the frame, and so avoid damaging the paint. It would require a sheet-metal plate under the nut and a small bolt through this plate, and the connector wire should hang thus, one thinks -> I thought this had been made standard fitting long ago. R.{Sir Henry Royce} My impression was that the frame bolt might be considered more suitable unless this nut is quite safe from movement. | ||
