R-35-AE. Test 2.

Road Wheel H.P. = 92.5 at 4150 R.P.M. & 86 M.P.H.
Axle ratio 4.1 to 1; Projected Area 15.000 sq. ft.
Const. T.R. at 30 lbs/ton = 42 lbs.

H.P. at 90 M.P.H. due to Const. T.R.
= (42 x 90) / 375 = 10.00 H.P.

T.R. due to windage = (92.5 x 375) / 90 = 344 lbs.

T.R. at 100 M.P.H. = (344 x 100²) / 90² = 425 lbs.

K = 344 / (15.0 x 90²) = .00283

R-23-AE. Streamline Saloon (Test 6).

Road Wheel H.P. = 92.5 at 4150 R.P.M. & 94.5 M.P.H.
Axle ratio = 3.73 to 1; Projected Area 19.025 sq.ft.
Const. T.R. at 30 lbs. per ton; wgt. 2 up = 1.6 tons.

H.P. due to const. T.R. at 95 M.P.H. = (30 x 1.6 x 95) / 375 = 12.15 H.P.

T.R. due to windage = (80.35 x 375) / 95 = 318 lbs.

Windage at 100 M.P.H. = (318 x 100²) / 95² = 352 lbs.

K = 318 / (19.025 x 95²) = .001845.
